It's 2015 and that brings with it: New Year's Resolutions!

Okay, we're not that excited about resolutions either.

However, when we think about our resolutions regarding technology, information technology and technology solutions, and then how to make our lives more efficient by leveraging those...we get downright giddy. And we think you will too.

So here's our top 3 Tech New Year's Resolutions for 2015.

1. For goodness sakes, keep your passwords safe! password_managerEverybody wants it but not enough of us do it and it does seem like a supreme pain. But did we learn NOTHING from 2013? So go ahead and get a password manager, set it up fully and never worry about a brain-glitch at the wrong time again.

2. Back up your data. No really, do it this year.

Think about it, you've got a boatload of personal data on your tablet, smartphone, PC and laptop. Videos, pictures, documents, music...and some of these are irrepaceable. You know what happens every hour? Your smartphone is lost, your laptop is stolen, your...yeah, you get the picture. Set up an automated backup plan to protect your data.

3. Tricks to give us more time in our day.

Here is where seconds turn into hours that turn into days. And that will be good for you, and your company. Since you're already sitting in front of a computer, smartphone, laptop or tablet you might as well start taking notes digitally and put the notepad away. Or learn shortcuts that will save you time.

Are there hundreds more resolutions we could make in our world-of-technology? Of course. But hey, we're taking baby steps here! We hope these three steps help you in 2015 to leverage technology to better your personal and work life.
