Annette brings 20 years of business experience to Istonish, with 14 of those as an entrepreneur. In 1990, Annette founded an information technology services company that has grown into an international business. Annette’s leadership and vision continues to drive the evolution of new and compelling offerings. Her credibility as a business leader has been confirmed through many business recognitions and awards. Many of these acknowledge her commitment to building an innovative, successful and positive company for employees, as well as her leadership and involvement in the community. Annette holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Colorado State University.

Victoria Quintana

Member Board of Directors and Co-Founder

Victoria is a seasoned executive and the principal partner in building Istonish. As an owner, director and manager, she guides the company’s overall operations. Her focus is decidedly on optimizing processes, creating structure, aligning systems to business needs and maintaining employee connections. Victoria has bridged her leadership roles within the community to increase the visibility of Istonish on a local and national level. Victoria earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Colorado State University.

John Lamere

Controller

“The main priority is to go above and beyond to make sure that employees are happy, because when employees are happy, customers are happy.”

John has more than 30 years in the accounting industry, including 18 years as the Controller of Istonish. His breadth of knowledge of accounting principles and his development of various financial reporting formats have contributed to the ongoing financial stability of Istonish. John was responsible for the conversion of the entire accounting department and implemented a complete financial package. Responsible for the daily accounting operations for Istonish, John plays a key role in customer and employee satisfaction by ensuring accurate and timely billing and payroll. John earned a bachelor of science in accounting from State University of New York at Plattsburgh and earned his CPA in 2006.

Henry Wharton

Senior Practice Advisor

Henry has been with Istonish for more than eight years as Senior Practice Director, where he has been instrumental in ensuring that systems projects are well managed and on track to meet the needs of our customers. Many of these projects have been in support of the Colorado Department of Human Services, the Colorado Department of Healthcare Finance and Policy and other state agencies. Henry brings a very strong understanding of the systems and business processes associated with almost every type of social service delivered in Colorado and many other states. Prior to joining Istonish, Henry was the Chief Information Officer for the State of Colorado Department of Human Services, where he was responsible for the annual and long-range strategic planning and project management oversight for three major information systems projects. He developed and administered departmental information systems policies and standards, as well as managed a team of 170 full-time and 62 contract employees.

Steven Brier

Vice President of Marketing

Steven brings to Istonish more than 20 years of brand and marketing experience from a variety of industries including: energy, telecommunications, travel & hospitality, legal, talent management, high technology, and advertising.  He has helped many organizations - large, small; local, global; public, private - build and nurture brands that drive growth and customer loyalty.  Building and nurturing "brand culture" is his true professional passion.  Family, fly fishing, horseback riding, acoustic guitar, and skiing (to name a few hobbies) consume the remainding hours in the day.  Steven holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Colorado State University and is a Certified Scrum Professional.

Ken Smith

Vice President of Information Technology

Ken has more than 25 years of experience as a senior team-builder, manager, software architect, and developer.  He has a solid track record of on-time and on-budget deliveries while expertly handling several application platforms including multiple large ERP systems and complex custom software development projects.  He brings strong leadership and commitment to software development life cycle (SDLC), ITIL and standard business operations process that is rigorous enough to pass external audit scrutiny for design controls and quality systems. 

Ken holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and has done advanced studies in Computer Information Systems at Regis University.  In addition, Ken is a camping, dirt bike riding, jazz drumming, classic car restoring, concert going ostrich wrangler.

Brian Duran

Vice President of Sales

"Sales is first and foremost about solving problems.  If we start every day with our focus on solving customers’ problems everything else tends to fall in place."

Brian has spent the last 25 years working in various technical and sales roles within IT, Engineering, Operations, Sales Engineering, and Sales for Enterprise Managed Services Providers prior to coming to Istonish.  His technical background and passion for solving customers’ business issues using technology has allowed him to develop critical solution offerings for startups, SMB companies, and multi-national enterprise companies.  He is especially fond of mixing and matching “off the shelf” solution offerings in unique combinations to meet customer requirements that retain the ease of service delivery of standard services.  Brian earned his technical chops implementing and supporting technical infrastructure aboard aircraft carriers in the US Navy while living in Japan and traveled extensively in Asia and the Middle East after earning an Associate of Science from Colorado Northwestern Community College.  When not engaged in his professional passion, he can be found, along with his wife, supporting his numerous personal passions which include: supporting his blended family of six children’s hobbies, backpacking, bouldering, off-roading to isolated spots, and using any “leftover” free time enjoying Denver’s live music scene.
