Server Virtualization – Data Center Consolidation
Istonish implements virtualization software that facilitates server consolidation and reduces complexity throughout the data center. The software creates an optimized "virtual" data center that provides dynamic infrastructure built on industry standards and is flexible to changing business needs.

Virtualized Servers

Storage Virtualization
Our team implements storage solutions that “pool” physical storage from multiple network storage devices into what appears to be a single storage device that is managed from a central console. We implement shared storage solutions specifically engineered for virtualized server and desktop environments.

In most physical “server environments”, each server normally runs one application and has direct attached storage on each server. In this environment, typical server utilization is 4-8% and storage utilization is less than 40%.

In a “virtualized server environment”, several virtual servers (workloads) run on each physical server and all storage is shared. Virtualization software and shared storage are key elements in this environment resulting in dramatic hardware consolidation and improved business continuity. Typical utilization in this environment is 70-85% for servers, and 80% for storage.

Desktop Virtualization
Istonish implements Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions. VDI hosts individual Windows desktop PCs inside virtual machines running on servers in the data center. This thin-client architecture enables you to secure, maintain and support your organization's complete Windows desktop environment that can be securely accessed and maintained from anywhere.
